Grayling have taken full advantage of the cold weather this week, leaving out cups and trays of water to observe what has happened each morning. We have discovered different icicles, frozen watering cans, cups, bowls and pans.

In literacy we have innovated the Magic Paintbrush story, choosing our own magic item, rich baddies and monsters! The children have loved writing down their ideas and sharing them with the class!

In maths we have focused on addition, learning the symbols, applying our number pair knowledge and learning to count on from a given number.

We are just 2 sounds away from finishing our phoneme books! I am so proud of how well all the children concentrate and join in with their phonics learning. Thanks again for joining us for our phonics stay and play!

Finally, we have a pile of lost property in our class and no one can remember if it belongs to them! Please look at the photos below and let me know by commenting on here or catching me on the gate if you think it may belong to your child 🙂
